Welcome to Mrs. Roach's 5th Grade Class!

Greetings from 5th grade!  My name is Kyle Roach and I am the 5th grade teacher at Holy Redeemer.  This is my sixth year at Holy Redeemer and I am excited to be back for another great year.  I am currently working towards my Master of Education in Leadership at University of Portland and excited for graduation in the Spring!

As the 5th grade teacher my goal is to instill a love and passion for learning.  We will be quite busy this year in all subject areas, here are the major themes we will be covering:

• Religion : Second Step, Steps to Respect, Fully Alive, and the Sacraments

• English : Novel Studies

• Writing : grammar, creative writing, reports,  the writing process

• Sitton Spelling Program

• Mathematics : Place Value, Addition & Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Fractions/Decimals, Measurement, & Geometry.

• Science : Life, Physical, Earth & Space.

• Social Studies : U.S. History, Government, Geography of U.S., State Study
