Welcome to Mrs. Strader's 2nd Grade!

I am looking forward to working with all of you this year. We will gain academic knowledge, practice important basic skills, and we grow closer in our relationship with Christ.
Some of the topics that we will study will be dinosaurs, rain forests, and oceans. We will also learn about our past, our government, and our economy.
Be sure to use my class website to learn more about classroom procedures, find weekly reminders, and learn ways to help your children become better learners. Your child can also visit educational website links that are posted on my page for extra support and enrichment. |
Classroom Goals
Through prayer and study we will grow closer to God, our Father, Jesus, our savior, Mary, our Mother, and the Holy Spirit, our guide.
Work together to help one another learn the second grade material.
Read, enjoy, and gain knowledge from both fiction and non-fiction texts.
Memorize our addition and subtraction facts through sums of 18 while gaining an understanding of other general math skills.
Use the writing process to create a variety of writing samples with paragraphs between 5-8 sentences long. |
