Holy Redeemer offers our students the opportunity to take private music lessons so that they may learn to play piano, cello, violin, or viola. Students in grades seven and eight may also take private voice lessons.
Learning to play a music instrument is an opportunity for your student to develop a life long appreciation for music. In addition, brain research indicates that learning to play a musical instrument increases brain function, especially in the area of mathematical funtions. Music lessons also help students to develop self-discipline and a sense of pride in their accomplishments.
Lessons are 30 minutes long and students receive at least 28 lessons during the academic year.
The tuition fee for private lessons is $175 per semester (a total of $525 for the year), payable at the beginning of each semester. If the entire year is paid in full during the month of September the cost for the year is $500. Sheet music is included in the tuition fee.
Registration material was sent home the first day of school. Additional registration forms may be picked up in the school office.
