Holy Redeemer has sponsored a family of nine from Burundi. The family's arrival and immigration to the United States is being arranged by Catholic Relief Services.

An active committee is working with Catholic Relief Services to help the family settle and start their new lives. Committee efforts center around:

• welcoming the family
• helping support their daily lives
• introducing them to our active faith community
• planning for schooling
• assisting with orientation to Portland

Alleluia! The family is settling in well to their new home and neighborhood. They could use a few items to continue to smooth the way:

• Three (3) umbrellas
• One (1) DVD player
• Three (3) size 10 soccer shoes
• One (1) size 8 soccer shoe
• Four (4) sets of shin guards
• Four (4) pairs of Soccer socks
