“Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as children of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission.”
Parents seeking to have their children Baptized should contact the Parish Office to begin their preparation as soon as possible. All parents are required to attend a Baptism class before their child is Baptized.
Since all Sacraments are Sacraments of the Church, Baptisms are celebrated at one of our normal Sunday Liturgies.
This year, children will be Baptized on the weekends listed below:
June 29th – Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul
July 20th - Sixteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
September 28th - Twenty-Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time
October 26th - Thirtieth Sunday in Ordinary Time
November 23rd - Feast of Christ the King
Adults seeking to be Baptized are admitted to the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults or RCIA. Adults interested in becoming Catholic themselves should contact the Director of Religious Education in the Parish Office.
