Extracurricular Activities

Holy Redeemer offers a wide range of extracurricular activities to fit a variety of interests. We offer multiple arts programs, academic clubs, scouting, and sports programs.

Choir

Students in grades 3rd through 8th are welcome to join the Blue (3rd - 5th) or Gold (6th - 8th) Choir. Students can sing in choir for Fall, Winter, Spring, or any combination of terms.

The choir sings at weekly school Mass and other performances including at the Grotto in December.

Music Lessons

We offer a variety of private music lessons for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Instruments include piano, cello, violin, guitar, and voice. Rates are $30 for a 30-minute lesson and $40 for a 45-minute lesson.

Orchestra

The orchestra is made up of string players; violin, cello, and bass. We meet on Wednesdays after school in the basement music rooms. The Orchestra has the opportunity to perform for events both at school and off-campus. These players are usually private study musicians and have the ability to read music at sight.  There is no age requirement for this group, only the ability to take direction and have a certain mastery of their instrument. Instruments are available for rental through the school. The fee for Orchestra and Beginning Strings is $50.00 for the school year.

Pep Band

Open to students in grades 4th through 8th grades. If your student already plays an instrument, they are welcome to join. We will meet on Tuesdays from 3:15pm-4:15pm in the Music Room. This will run as a group music lesson through Mr. Leahy's music studio. Sign up your student HERE.

Art Club

Afterschool Art Club is open to students grades 3rd through 8th. Club will meet Tuesdays for 6th - 8th and Thursdays for 3rd - 5th from 3:15 to 4:00 pm.

Students can experience "free art" or if requested, guidance on a particular technique or project.

The STEM Club

he STEM Club meets after school on Mondays (6th - 8th) and Tuesdays (3rd - 5th) after school. Students focus on a general concept a trimester: Medical Health, Engineering, and Coding & Robotics

Holy Redeemer participates in Volleyball (girls), Cross Country (co-ed), Basketball (girls & boys), Hotshots Basketball (co-ed), and Track and Field (co-ed).

Oregon Battle of The Books

OBOB for short is a statewide voluntary reading motivation and comprehension program. Students in 3rd-8th grade, are exposed to quality literature representing a variety of literary styles and viewpoints.
